Dave Curtis: Head of Healthwatch Merton
To oversee the continuous development and establishment of Healthwatch Merton to ensure local people have a voice in shaping and improving health and social care services. Members of the public, patients, carers and service users alike will be encouraged to work in partnership with Healthwatch to achieve the best quality care and more choice in the borough. A quote that has always stuck with Dave and reflects his belief is “if you want to know how the shoe fits, ask the person who is wearing them, not who made them.”
Johan Dhinakaran: Community Engagement and Projects Officer
Delivers a range of innovative and effective approaches to empowering local communities to have a voice. Undertake impactful reporting of insights and intelligence from our communities within the context of local policy and priorities. Lead on development and maintaining of partnerships with community groups and organisations to enhance our impact and effectiveness. Manage and lead on our statutory Enter & View powers.

Pat Yeboah: Information and Outreach Officer
(2 days - variable each week)
To gather and represent local people’s views and experiences of health and social care services in the borough, and to promote successful patient and public engagement. Pat is active in the community and will work with local people and stakeholders to identify health and social care needs and gaps in local services. The team will communicate feedback to services and the commissioners to help them develop health and social care services that meet the needs of local people.
